Our vision is to create shared value for all stakeholders through a commitment to safety, social responsibility, and environmental stewardship
Apex is dedicated to working closely with the communities and people in the communities in which it operates in an environmentally and socially responsible manner. While the economic benefits and creation of opportunities from Apex’s operations to the local communities are many, it is important to ensure that local and regional stakeholders understand the potential impacts of the company’s operations and have confidence their concerns are taken into consideration. Engagement and two-way communication with communities of interest are vital to Apex’s continued growth, and all relationships are guided by the Company’s core values:
Humanity
Respect
Trust
Communication
Teamwork
Apex is committed to conducting business in an ethical and honest manner, and to implementing and enforcing a zero-tolerance policy with respect to bribery and corrupt activities on the part of its management, staff, and contractors. The company is dedicated to acting professionally, fairly, and with integrity in all business dealings and transactions in the United Republic of Tanzania and all other countries in which it does business.
The company has in place numerous policies designed to govern and reinforce its commitment to fair and responsible practices, including an Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy, Anti Money Laundering Policy, Equal Employment Policy, and Human Rights Policy.
Our focus on responsible mining – demonstrated by our emphasis on our people, local communities, and the environment – is integral to our success. We seek to continually understand and, where possible, avoid or minimize the potential impacts of our activities while we look to generate new and positive opportunities through stakeholder, community, and Indigenous partnerships and investments.
